Welcome to 6B Farms, a diversified, family-owned agricultural operation rooted in sustainability by cultivating the unforgettable taste of Florida's farming heritage. Growing food and community; that’s the spirit of 6B Farms.
What do we grow?
- Blueberries (Florida and North Carolina): Our Florida acreage is dedicated to six southern high bush cultivars of fresh, flavorful blueberries—grown with care to provide early-season harvests for families and markets alike.
- Chestnuts (North Carolina): On 14 acres of Union County hillsides, we’re revitalizing the chestnut tradition, producing a crop rooted in heritage and flavor.
- Botanicals (Florida): Our nursery offers a wide selection of ornamentals, trees, shrubs, herbs and fruit plants. Whether you're a home gardener, commercial landscaper or plant enthusiasts, we strive to have everything you'll need.
6B Farms is forward thinking and thus has established a mindset of continual growth. With many ideas, stay tuned as we have some exciting ventures on the horizon. From value-added products and U-pick experiences, to expanded agroforestry and sustainable farming projects, wherever we grow and whatever we grow, our promise is the same: quality you can trust, stewardship you can believe in and family values at the root of it all.

The Beare Family
At the heart of 6B Farms is our family—the Beare's. Each of us plays a unique role in keeping the farm running, but together we share one mission: to grow with care, protect the land and provide high-quality products for our community.
Meet the Beare's
- Laura Johnson-Beare – President and CEO
Holding a Bachelors Degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Medical Doctor from Albany Medical University, Laura brings vision and leadership to the farm, guiding our long-term growth while keeping our family values at the center of everything we do.
- Steve Beare – Executive Vice President
Holding a Bachelor Degree from FSU, Steve ensures that our operations stay true to the traditions while developing and executing strategic plans and overseeing the directors, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations of FDACS and NCDA&CS
- Chandler Beare – Director of Operations
Chandler, a Navy Veteran, oversees the daily operations of the farm, coordinating crews, schedules and systems to keep everything running smoothly.
- Zander Beare – Director of Engineering & Development
Holding a Bachelors Degree in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering from FSU, Zander brings innovation to the farm, designing and implementing projects that improve efficiency, sustainability and future growth.
- Tyler Beare – Director of Sales & Logistics
Holding a Bachelors Degree from Jacksonville (FL) University, Tyler aka "Moose" handles sales, strategy and shipping, making sure our decisions are informed and that we’re always moving in the right direction.
- Katelyn Beare – Director of Administration
Katelyn manages the organizational side of the farm—keeping records, communications and logistics in order so the rest of us can stay focused on the fields.
- Summer Beare – Director of Marketing
Holding a Bachelors Degree from UCF, Summer shares our story with the world, connecting customers and partners to the values and products that make 6B Farms unique. Summer is also our events coordinator so give her a call if youre looking
- Brensley and Caden Beare - Our Future. They are the ones who hold us accountable for future generations to come.
